WYSIWYG and Microsoft Word (Yuck) - alexh - Jun 8th, 2011 Here's a suggestion for when you work on the wysiwyg editor... People often try and cut and paste from Microsoft Word... and you end up with tons of useless code that only Word understands, but often screws up your page's formatting. I have seen a few editors that have an option to strip MSWord code out. Another idea is to have a Word button, which pops up another box which only allows text and none of the MSWord code comes with it. I always cut and paste to a text editor before copy/pasting into the WYSIWYG editor.. but I can't seem to get anyone else to do it!! Just an idea ;-) Alex RE: WYSIWYG and Microsoft Word (Yuck) - Ben - Jun 9th, 2011 Yeah, that's a really good idea. Will definitely keep in mind! ![]() - Ben RE: WYSIWYG and Microsoft Word (Yuck) - alexh - Jul 6th, 2011 I'm liking the new WYWISYG editor (TinyMCE). The "paste from word" option is exactly what I was looking for! |
