Table Prefix Error after installation - Mark - Jun 10th, 2011 I have downloaded and installed the current Alpha release, however I receive the following error when I try and access my completed FormTools installation (after deleting the 'install' folder): Quote:Uh-oh. RE: Table Prefix Error after installation - Ben - Jun 12th, 2011 Huh... curious. I'll do a fresh installation and get back to you shortly. - Ben RE: Table Prefix Error after installation - Ben - Jun 12th, 2011 Hi HTR, What a pain. No, unfortunately it works fine for me. I did fresh installations using both the default prefix (ft_), a custom one and none whatsoever. All work fine. Did you download the alpha from http://alpha.formtools.org, or generate it through the custom build script? (http://www.formtools.org/build/). One other thing: do you remember if you used your own table prefix, or left it as the default? Would it be possible for you to email me the zipfile (if you still have it around)? I'd like to test it out myself. My email is ben.keen@gmail.com btw, just so you know I introduced a pretty major bug into the Alpha in the last build: the accounts table isn't being created properly so you can't log in. I'll have this fixed in today's build. - Ben RE: Table Prefix Error after installation - Mark - Jun 13th, 2011 Hi Ben, Thanks for the reply. I do still have this failed installation available on a web server, but unfortunately I don't have the original ZIP download to hand. I downloaded the Alpha from 'alpha.formtools.org' rather than the Custom Builder. I have downloaded yesterday's Alpha build and cannot progress past the same error. I have sent you a PM with login details to my server so you can investigate the failed installation. Many thanks, Mark H RE: Table Prefix Error after installation - Ben - Jun 14th, 2011 Just to sum up this thread, this was due to there being a hyphen in the database name & PHP getting confused. This is fixed in today's Alpha build. - Ben |
