Incorporation graph from submited information - RodRod77 - Oct 6th, 2011 Hello, I want to create a page in my multi page form which will graph some of submitted information. I am using version 2.1.2 I saw the google graph function here which I want to use http://code.google.com/apis/chart/ and in their example code they have a sections similar to this data.addRows([ ['Mushrooms', 3], ['Onions', 1], ['Olives', 1], ['Zucchini', 1], ['Pepperoni', 2] ]); Is there a way to replace mushroom with a name submitted on previous form, and replace the number 3 with a number submitted on a previous form? Any information would be greatly apreciated. RE: Incorporation graph from submited information - Ben - Oct 7th, 2011 Hi Rod, Welcome to the forums! Hah, I've just been working with Google Charts a great deal recently, for the Data Visualization module. It's terribly fun! If you need to access other form submission data from within a different form submission, I'm afraid you'll need to write some custom queries to extract that info from the database. The existing API functions (ft_api_show_submission() and ft_api_show_submissions()) are pretty limited. Are you trying to target the most recent submission, or something? What are you trying to do, exactly? - Ben RE: Incorporation graph from submited information - RodRod77 - Oct 7th, 2011 Hello Ben, I want to use information submitted on the 3rd and 4th page of the form, and display a graph on the 5th page. I have managed to display the names using $fields["valuename"] But for some reason I get an error when i try doing the same with the number for the graph. The graph just displays nothing. Any help would be incredible. - Rod RE: Incorporation graph from submited information - Ben - Oct 10th, 2011 Hi Rod, I'd take a good look at the generated JS. Any error will be caused there. Are you sure you've identified the column as a numeric column? I remember Google Charts being very finicky about that: it needs to know the data type of each column otherwise it won't work. Are any javascript errors thrown on the page? That may help identify the problem. - Ben |
