Virus Error (warning) - Fromtools - avg anti virus - bwaye - Jan 31st, 2012
I have a client who is getting an error from Avg Anti Virus. Has anyone ever had an Issue With This. They can not update the FT without having to disregard the error ever time they take an action in FT.
ERROR FROM CLIENT:
It is a red screen that says "Multiple Threat Detection" Virus found JJ/Agent It then gives the option to "remove all unhealed" or Close.

Uploaded attachments perhaps? If not, what I would do is upload and overwrite all of the FT files as its possible one or more may have been infected with malicious code. Also check any folders with permissions of 777 to see if there are any suspect files in them.

Yes, from what I understand the formtools site was hacked a while back. If you downloaded the code from the website during a specific time, you may be affected. I had the same problem, and was able to remove the malicious code. It didn't seem to damage anything.. just a pain.

I forgot to mention that if you do overwrite your formtools files, make sure you're overwriting them with the same files as whatever version your FT installation is, otherwise if you try to overwrite 2.0 with 2.2 (as an example), your FT application probably won't function properly. Also, don't overwrite your config file... You could also delete whatever files are in your cache folders except the index.html files.
