2.2.3 update applied, now I can't add a new external form! - dethompsOWU - Apr 27th, 2012
Yesterday, I applied the 2.2.3 update and all seemed to go well.
Today, I went to add a new external form, and the little "checklist" popup came up as usual reminding me that I needed to have access to edit the form and whatnot, but when I click the "Continue" button, the popup goes away and I am taken back to the list of forms instead of being taken into the usual "add external form" process.
I tried running the System Check module, but that didn't find any issues and thus didn't fix anything.
I was able to add new external forms earlier in the week, prior to the 2.2.3 update (I was using 2.2.2, in case that's relevant), so something has changed with the 2.2.3 update.
Any ideas what might be going on?

I found this right away, too. There's a problem with one of the new files. I addressed this in the installation forum and applied a temporary work-around: http://forums.formtools.org/showthread.php?tid=1999
If you don't have a backup of the file I mentioned, private message me with your e-mail address and I'll happily send it your way.

FYI, replacing the pre-v2.2.3 version of the step1.php file that michatmaster7 identified fixed the problem. I was able to add a new external form without issue.

Thanks Doug, glad it worked. It's just a temporary solution, until Ben gets back to update the code, but at least it will keep things working in the meantime. The version I sent you was from 2.2.2.

You can again update the software this is bug error but now that error is resolved you can just update and restart.
