Database question - pcascio - May 28th, 2012 I installed Form Tools as offered by 1and1 hosting in my root directory, but I'd like to remove it and reinstall in a different directory. I can't find the database and not sure how to back it up. I've seached this forum and the documentation but can't seem to locate the info I need. Also, any sugestions on relocating my install would be appreciated. Thanks RE: Database question - michatmaster7 - May 31st, 2012 Wow, it comes bundled with a hosting package now? That feels wrong somehow.... Anyway, the database is actual a MySQL database (I think), so if your hosting provider offers a way to back up your SQLs, then that should do the trick. If you are savvy, then you can simply do a download and install yourself, rather than via your hosting provider. In other words, download the core and any modules you want, then FTP them to whatever directory you so desire on your web. Follow the instructions (here: http://docs.formtools.org/installation/) and voila! Presto chango! Also - see the note in my signature, please. I don't pretend to be an expert here. |
