Newbie - Need help understanding db interface - skydivr - Jun 21st, 2012 Virtually no programming experience so formtools has caught my eye as I hopefully won't be dependant (as much) on my programmers to get data into and out of our db. I have a couple questions with thanks in advance. So, it appears formtools generates forms for data input and views for reporting... is my understanding correct? We've got an existing db that I'd like to setup some forms to make it easier for data entry. Can I create a dedicated formtools db for it's use and link to our existing db for queries?
