Can't save Numeric data type fields problem - andy_12-12 - Oct 5th, 2012 Form tools 2.2.5 When creating or editing field properties in main settings changing any fields data type to numeric will not save. Update changes numeric fields back to string. How do I make sure the numeric fields stay as numeric? RE: Can't save Numeric data type fields problem - mkendall - Mar 19th, 2015 First edit the field, move to the validation tab, and select "Numbers Only". You then then change the data type to numeric by moving to the main tab or when you are editing the form fields. If you click on the edit icon, at the right end of each row, a window with the field properties will open. On the Main Settings tab you can, then, set the data type to Nubmer. Press "Save Changes" and then hit on Update. The changes should remain. Please note, however, that setting the data type to "number" instead of "string" does not act as a validation rule. The form will continue to accept both strings and numbers. |
