install on localhost - dattuso - Jul 30th, 2013 Hi I'm having trouble. I have looked through the documentation and fourms and have not found a solution. I have a Windows 7 machine with an Apache2 server. The server works fine when I goto localhost in my web browser I get my index.html page as expected. but when I goto localhost/formtools I get a list of the files that are in that directory. Also, I have stopped and restared the server just in case that was it and I get the same list. I will add that I have not installed php or mySQL on this machine. Maybe thats the problem. To elaborate. I have inherited formtools from my predicessor and have no idea how to use them. I'm suposed to be running this site: http://vdfp.us/ and it uses formtools. I have been looking for a tutorial for complete beginners on this tool but everything seems to start 2 steps ahead of where I am. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Diana RE: install on localhost - Joe - Aug 1st, 2013 Hi Diana, You will definitely need PHP and MySQL installed on your machine to run Form Tools. Here are the system requirements for Form Tools: http://docs.formtools.org/userdoc/?page=system_requirements Here's a good place to start on learning Form Tools: http://docs.formtools.org/userdoc/?page=what_form_tools_does Hope this helps.
