500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - kvcrawford - Aug 27th, 2009 On step3.php, after entering (correct) MySQL database information, I get a 500 internal server error: Code: Internal Server Error Might anybody have any idea of what's going wrong? I appreciate your help! RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - kvcrawford - Aug 28th, 2009 Also, here's what the error log says: Code: [Fri Aug 28 15:17:00 2009] [error] [client 216.86.206.119] File does not exist: /home/forms/public_html/500.shtml, referer: http://forms.epraxa2.com/install/step3.php I decided to directly type in step4.php. It says that it will create the "config.php" file, which only has empty settings for all of the variables. So I copy & paste the generated config.php into an editor and set all of the variables. Then I pressed the next button, and got this error Code: The page isn't redirecting properly Cookies are enabled in my browser, by the way. After that, I uploaded my custom config.php to /global/ Then, I manually typed in step5.php, but I got the same "redirecting" error. Might anyone be able to help? I would really appreciate it! I loved FT 1.x, and I'm really excited to try FT 2..x... if only I could install it! Many Thanks, Kevin RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - kvcrawford - Aug 28th, 2009 Achk this is getting really frustrating! I found a few other threads with similar problems... I've tried setting permissions on all the directories to 777, deleting and uploading all the files, and editing my own config.php file...nothing has worked. I'm on a linux server running Apache 2.2.11 (Unix), with PHP 5.2.6, and MySQL 5.0.81-community -- Also, I just successfully installed it on a different server - my personal (MediaTemple) server, running PHP v4.4.8 RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - Ben - Sep 1st, 2009 Hey kvcrawford, Sorry if I already asked you this, but would it be possible for you to give me access so I could take a look at the problem directly? If so, email me at ben.keen@gmail.com with your FTP and Form Tools installation URL and I'll take a look. - Ben RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - SolutionsPal - Nov 1st, 2009 I'm having the same exact error on step3. Any resolution to this? I figured it out, disable ModSecurity: [Sun Nov 01 21:56:37 2009] [error] [client xxxxxxxxx] ModSecurity: Access denied with code 500 (phase 2). Pattern match "((alter|create|drop)[[pace:]]+(column|database|procedure|table)|delete[[pace:]]+from|update.+set.+=)" at ARGS:create_database. Good to know that ModSecurity causes problems. Hmmm... - Ben RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - treymurray - Feb 4th, 2010 I am having the same issue. If anyone would care to look, it is at http://shiannewhite13.com/formtools RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - treymurray - Feb 5th, 2010 I found the answer. It was the database password. It can only be alphanumeric. RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - billwill - Nov 9th, 2014 Me too. Seems like this is more than a transient error since so many people are having it. Looked at the server log, and there are no errors reported. Tried the alpha numeric fix suggested here, but made no difference. Deleted all files, and uploaded fresh files 3 times. No difference. What now? RE: 500 Internal Server Error on Step 3 - Sophia Synan - Feb 14th, 2021 You have to enable the cookies first then this code is fine. If you have facing the issue still then you need to visit college homework help as they have many PHP as well as MY SQL experts for the help so they can provide you assistance. |
