Blank page when going to install directory - cparson - Nov 9th, 2009
Hello,
I have installed PHP version 5.2.11 and MySQL version 5.1 but can not get formtools working.
When I go to the following page http://172.16.100.253/formtools/ it redirects to the install directory as it should but displays only a blank page. Where do I start troubleshooting? Error reporting seems to be on in global library but I see nothing in the browser for errors.
Any help getting this working would be appreciated.

Hmm... what type of server are you on? Windows?
Try this: change the permissions on your /themes/default/cache folder to be full read-writable and re-load the page. If permissions aren't correct, you *should* see a page that describes the problem and what to do. But I do recall a similar problem reported by another chap on a Windows server.

I just had this problem last night. I'm install this onto a windows server. Since you can't chmod folder permissions like you can on unix, I had to get someone to mark the /themes/default/cache folder as writable for me directly on the server.
