New to all this, many questions! - Sstott - Apr 22nd, 2015

I am really, *really* new to Form Tools and I'm having a hard time publishing to a website so my clients can sign-in. I continue to get the error message "Sorry, this does not appear to be a valid folder" in version 2.2.6 when I try to publish. I went to the settings page for the Upload Folder Path and I can't seem to figure out how the path and the url were put there in the first place. Sorry if this is too vague, I'm just really trying to find some answers!

I understand that most Form Tools users tend to have some knowledge already but this is a tool I was just thrown into. Any suggestions on any other topics would be helpful! I'm sure I'll think of plenty of questions as I use this version!

I use exclusively internal forms at this time, so don't actually publish my forms onto my website, however I have experimented just a bit with it out of curiosity.

Do you know the folder on your web server where you wish to publish the form ? If you are using that folder's path (URL) in the Upload Folder Path, and yet it won't let you upload there, it may be a permissions issue on your web server. On the web servers I use, I log in go to CPanel, then go to File manager, go to the folder in question and then change permissions there.

Thanks Daniel!

Apparently there were many "//" missing. I was able to publish but there are still many things wrong. From what I've gleaned from speaking with a few compsci people we need the original architect of the database (and get into his Cpanel) to tell my coworkers and I a few things that he did so we can understand. We work on a Citrix cloud and that seems to be making a mess of things with permissions.

I've tried to see if I can easily override and wipe everything and start from scratch on my own but that seems a bit too monumental of a task. I will return with a flurry of questions I'm sure once we can locate him!
