problem polish diacritic signs - radek - Apr 15th, 2010 Hi, I made a simple form using POST method. I'm from Poland and I have a problem with polish diacritic signs in the form fields. When I type in, for example, the polish name with the special character, everything is recorded correctly but when I check submissions in the admin panel the name ends before that mark. I'm beginer and I can't find the reason. Can you help me please? I hope everybody understood what I mean. I'm not good in english. Best regards RE: problem polish diacritic signs - Ben - Apr 18th, 2010 Hi Radek, Your English is pretty good actually! Do you have access to phpMyAdmin, or another tool that lets you examine the contents of the database directly? If you do, could you try looking at the form submission through that and see if the polish characters have been at least stored in the database correctly? That will help us find out where the problem lies. - Ben RE: problem polish diacritic signs - radek - Apr 23rd, 2010 Hi Ben! Thank you for your reply. I changed the settings of the database but it wasn't a problem. It was a stupid mistake - bad encoding on form page. I changed it to utf-8 and everything works fine. Best regards, Radek |
