Aggregate Data From Different Forms In One Database - michael.ka - May 23rd, 2010 Form Tools looks like a truly great fit for a project we are doing – there is only one little problem and we couldn’t yet figure out whether and how we can avoid that. We want to offer our users forms in the language they are speaking which means that there will be multiple forms, one for each language we offer. We don’t, however, want three or so different databases, one for each language, we want to consolidate all submissions into one database where all submissions can be viewed, searched and exported at once. That doesn’t seem to be possible with Form Tools or at least we couldn’t figure out how it would be possible. Is there a way to solve that problem? RE: Aggregate Data From Different Forms In One Database - iroast - May 24th, 2010 Create 1 form and go through the Form Tools setup process. Once everything is done and tested, create multiple versions of that form in different languages. Just keep the field names the same as the 1st. RE: Aggregate Data From Different Forms In One Database - michael.ka - May 24th, 2010 Ah, great, it really is as simple as that. Thanks! I was only confused because you could only enter one URL during the setup process. RE: Aggregate Data From Different Forms In One Database - Ben - May 27th, 2010 Hi Michael, Yes, that's not awfully clear is it? Specifying the form URL is only used for cataloging the forms and providing a link to them within the UI - nothing more. You can, in fact, submit the same form from multiple locations. Form Tools won't care. Good luck with the project! - Ben |
