submission interrupted but recorded - Nowton - May 25th, 2010 Scenario: pretty big form using some upload fields. RSV validation in place. If user fills out all required fields but uploads fails for some reason (file to big for example), submission is still recorded. Expected behaviour: if upload fails, not all required fields have been submitted, therefore submission should not be recorded. Your insights appreciated. RE: submission interrupted but recorded - Nowton - May 26th, 2010 Anyone, please advise what an alternative to Formtools might be. I feel like I'm spending more time in the support section than actually producing solutions for clients. As a result we're losing money and precious time. Paid and supported solutions welcome. Thanks in advance. RE: submission interrupted but recorded - Ben - May 27th, 2010 Hi Nowton, I'm really sorry I can't provide more timely help - I do understand your frustration! But please bear in mind this is a free script and I do this in my spare time only. The last week I've been in San Francisco for the Google I/O conference and then I came down with the flu. Form Tools support had to take lower priority. If sounds like you'll want to check out other scripts. There's a few other good form management scripts out there. I personally like wufoo: http://wufoo.com/ It's better than Form Tools in a number of respects (I'll readily admit it!) but it's not open source, free or as customizable. That said, it may well be a better fit for your needs. - Ben |
