Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Prig - Sep 8th, 2010 Hey Ben, I've been experiencing this issue for a few months now but been paying closer attention to it lately. It seems that every few days or so clients can't access their data via the views created. The client is listed as having access to the form itself, but when I check each view created, they are removed. It happens with every single form that is stored in the database. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks. RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Ben - Sep 9th, 2010 Heya, I would *love* to look at this problem on your system. This has been reported by a few people, but I've never yet seen it. Any chance I could get temporary FTP access (so I can debug the problem directly) and your Form Tools login info? If so, email me at ben.keen@gmail.com One caveat: I'm utterly, utterly swamped right now so I wouldn't be able to look at it until tomorrow night or more likely Saturday. Thanks!! - Ben RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - vizzaroo - Sep 10th, 2010 I'm experiencing the same problem, this problem only occurs when I create a new 'Client' and add that client to the respective form. Once the new client is added all clients are removed from views currently setup but still have access to the form. RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Ben - Sep 11th, 2010 Hi Prig, et al. Thanks EVER so much for allowing me access to your system for this. I located a problem and just released a fix for it in tonight's 2.0.3 build. I think this should solve it (unless there's a second problem, which is always possible!) 2.0.3 is pretty stable now. I'm going to wait a few more days, but I'll be making it the standard release pretty soon. All the best - Ben RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Prig - Sep 13th, 2010 Thanks Ben! I just installed the beta and reassigned permissions to everyone that lost access. I'll let ya know if I have any reoccurring issues. Thanks! RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Ben - Sep 15th, 2010 Thanks! And again, sorry for the problems. - Ben RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - vizzaroo - Sep 27th, 2010 (Sep 13th, 2010, 5:07 AM)Prig Wrote: Thanks Ben! Thanks Ben & ditto RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Prig - Oct 6th, 2010 Ben, I just logged in today and seems like all my clients lost their permission again. They all seem to be added to the form, but they lose permissions over time when assigned to various views. RE: Clients Losing Permission to Forms - Ben - Oct 6th, 2010 Drat.... this surprises me! I *AM* sorry you're still having problems. Okay, next step is to install this module: http://modules.formtools.org/database_integrity/ Would you mind running that module to see if it detects any database errors on your system? I'm wondering if maybe something got corrupted during one of the upgrades. - Ben |
