Unable to access Clients from Menu - crunchers - Dec 2nd, 2010 Hi, Guys. I'm experiencing an odd problem. I can't seem to access my Client list. Whenever I attempt to access it from the Admin menu, I receive a page saying: "Sorry, no submissions were found". The odd thing is when I edit the Menus in "Settings" to include "Add/Edit Clients", I can access the relevant information. The client accounts are definitely working. The database entries do certainly exist; and I've tried replacing all the files with the latest version of FT. I'm just not really sure where to go on this one. I'm currently using FT2.0.4 (upgraded over time from version 2.0.0). Any suggestions? RE: Unable to access Clients from Menu - Ben - Dec 4th, 2010 Hey Crunchers, Oof, that doesn't look good. Even the title of the page isn't showing up... that suggests even the language file isn't being loaded. Hmph. So did this just stop working one day, or after an upgrade? Could you try changing the default theme (temporarily) to "default", just to confirm that it's not a problem with the Classic Grey theme? - Ben RE: Unable to access Clients from Menu - crunchers - Dec 4th, 2010 Hi, Ben. Thanks for replying back so quickly. Top man as always. Yeah, it's odd. I tried changing the theme back to default - still no change. I think it occurred after upgrading. I remember following the upgrade instructions quite vigorously. I'm still using FT1.5 for most of my forms simply because I haven't had time to rewrite the paypal scripts I customised for accepting payments (one-off, monthly, switchable test modes between live and sandbox accounts etc). I really need to find time to migrate across to a better web host as well. But that's another story... Funny thing is, FT2.0.4 works fine. I successfully managed to setup an online christmas ecard form for our charity, allowing people to send a customised card to any recipient they choose along with a choice of designs. It wouldn't have been easily doable were it not for the custom views, emails, and filters. The only thing I'm not sure about is how to allow the user to dynamically enter multiple recipients if they'd like to send an ecard with only one submission. Again, another story... If you'd like, Ben, I can PM you the login details for our server and dbase. I know how difficult these things are to diagnose without having hands-on access. I also appreciate how busy you must be so please don't feel obliged. Anyway, I'm not really sure how else to proceed. It's possible I did something wrong during the upgrade pathway to 2.0.4 but I honestly couldn't say for definite. Your details were very specific in that regard so I don't honestly see it being an issue with me being incapable of following instructions. Still, stranger things have happened. If there's anything you could do, Ben, to advise, I'd be eternally grateful. Many thanks. RE: Unable to access Clients from Menu - Ben - Dec 4th, 2010 Hey Crunchers, Sure - just email me the details and I'll log in and take a look. I'm kind of stumped as is.I'll just need your FT login info and your FTP info. I doubt I'll need DB access. My email is ben.keen@gmail.com (and maybe include a link to this post, so I don't lose track!) Thanks! ![]() - Ben RE: Unable to access Clients from Menu - Ben - Dec 5th, 2010 Heya - I just emailed you. All fixed. For some reason the template for the client listing page was simply incorrect. I replaced it with the latest for 2.0.4 and it looks fine now. Let me know if you have any other trouble! ![]() - Ben RE: Unable to access Clients from Menu - crunchers - Dec 5th, 2010 What an idiot! I'm not sure how that happened, Ben, but I figured it would be something as silly as you describe. Thanks ever so much for taking a look see. (-: |
