Check for update after version 2.0.4?

I recently updated to version 2.0.4 (looks great by the way!) and I followed the steps to alter the links on the left button bar.

I know I must be missing the documentation on this, but I'm confused about the change in the "check for new version" functionality. There used to be a button when you went to "Settings - Main" that read something like "check for update," that would bring up a FormTools page and let you know if you needed to update any of your components. Now there is an "Update" button, but I think this is just for changing options on the settings page. Up in the upper right corner of the page there is a version number and an "update" link, but clicking on this link just makes a red X and a page icon fly up from the bottom left of the page...

I'm not sure if this red x means I have a permission problem or some other problem, or if this is even the new update your formtools installation process.

Yeah, sorry - I haven't updated the documentation yet on that.

I moved the "Check for Updates" button to the top so it appears on all pages. It never seemed appropriate to just stick it on that one page in Settings.

When you click it, it *should* open the Upgrade page in a separate window... if not, it's either that your browser's popup blocker is preventing the page from loading or there's a JS error.

If you think it's the latter, try emptying your browser cache for the site. It's possible your browser has cached an old JS file that has since been updated (especially if it's IE!)
