I've done this many times before without a hitch, but on a new installation of FormTools 2.0.4 on a new website, I can't successfully initialize a new form.
Everything works as expected, but when it gets to setting up the field types, I can't skip ahead (as I usually do), the thing just spins. I tried uploading a straight HTML version of the form, but it doesn't find any of the fields in that and so I am trying to skip ahead again.
I saw in this forum that this problem can be caused by incorrect permissions, but I've checked the permissions and ownership of the files and directories and they're all OK.
Unfortunately, I am unable to see the server errors, so no hints there as to what might be happening. There's no PHP or Javascript errors coming up.
Anybody run into this one??
Hey, well a little perseverance and problem solved...
Turns out, I had the 'www' subdomain in the URL for my form but without it in the config.php file. Might not matter with some web hosts, but this one was not allowing the javascript to query from one subdomain to another.
I guess it's a good idea to have the full domain name consistent between the form you're testing and the config file.
