I've been trying unsuccessfully to use double-opt-in scripts to build subscribers to mailing lists .. with the problem that certain types of email accounts (such as aol & roadrunner etc.) never receive their confirmation emails, possibly because those email clients filter out php forms.
So it occurred to me, why can't I create a form_tools form asking only the name & email address fields and make the redirect either the access to the free video or whatever I'm using to lure in subscribers or a link on a page to access them or something I haven't quite worked out yet.
And I'd make the form on html not php because I can't use recaptcha on this different domain anyway.. any maybe these would get through?
Guess I am just thinking out loud here, don't know why I put this post in, feel free to delete.. it's just that I love these forms & I am using them throughout my site for so many purposes..
thanks for listening!
