Form Tools Fails To Create Config File

I created a database through my host. When I go through the installation process I am able to create data tables and I have triple checked that all of the information about my database is correct. When I look inside of my database I can see that all of the data tables have been created and are inside. When I go to the next step to create the config file I can see the php text, but when I click the button to create the file I get an error message that says :

"Form Tools was unable to make a connection to the database hostname. This usually means the host is temporarily down, it's no longer accessible with the hostname you're passing, or the username and password you're using isn't valid.

Please check your /global/config.php file to confirm the $g_db_hostname, $g_db_username and $g_db_password settings."

Any way to get around this or suggestions on how to fix it?

What you can do is manually create an empty text file named config.php (use a notepad or some other simple text editor that can create pure text files)
Copy all the php code you got from the page and paste it in to the text file.
Then you upload the text file to your server inside the folder /global/ with a FTP application.
