can i use api to get sumited data to php variables?

i want that user can click and export his form data submited fileds
to php variables than my php script take all $ variables and repleace text
in couple of text files

can i use api to so user able to click inside his submited form and it will export it to php variables?

i also tired using "Export module" can't figure it out.
