Not too sure if this is a stupid question or not but ill give it a go.
In the older versions of FormTools when logging in and viewing submissions you could click on view and it would show you the submission.
On the new version when you login you only get the option to edit the submission. You can view the date submitted and various other parts which have been selected as columns.
So is there a way to actually view the full submission?
Many Thanks,
James

Hey James,
Not a stupid question at all!
I ended up dropping the View option altogether since it seemed like one extra step to editing the data. But you *can* emulate very similar behaviour by doing this:
1. On the Edit Form -> Views tab, make a duplicate of the default "All submissions" View, call it "Editable Submissions" or something.
2. Return to the default "All Submissions" View and edit it. One the Fields sub-tab, uncheck all the "Editable" checkboxes.
Now, when people log in, they'll be defaulted to the All Submissions View, like before, except now the data is only visible - not editable - when they click on EDIT. On that page, to make it editable, they can switch Views to the "Editable Submissions" View.
Hope this makes sense! All the best -
Ben

Ok I'll give that a go.
But will that only show the data that's been selected as a column or will it show the whole of the form entries?

Heya,
Both Views will show all the same data - with the same tabs, with the same two column-like arrangement. But only the second allows them to be editable.

So is there no way to actually view a submitted form unless you edit the form?

Sorry, I wasn't terribly clear.
Yes, it's totally possible - you can just create a View that only lists the (non-editable) fields. And, if you make that the first View in the list of Views, it will be used as the default View. In other words, when people log in and click "EDIT" for a submission, they'll just see the non-editable submission info.
To add in the editable option, you could create a SECOND View, identical to the first except that all fields are editable. Then, on the Edit Submission page, to toggle between viewing and editing a submission, you'd need to pick the appropriate View from the Views dropdown list that appears in the top right of the page.
Hope that's a bit clearer. Always been lousy at explaining stuff....
