Edit Page Editor Issue

Trying to format content in the Edit Page editor causes strange results.

Add some text and Update - all saved as expected. Add additonal text on line below and Update - this text is not always saved. The first update works OK - subsequent Updates seem to cause issues.

Have tried using HTML mode and adding standard <p>, <h?> tags this also does not work after updating - in some cases the text is not saved.

Also tried deleting text to clear the editor window and then Update - text returns after redraw.

This is a clean 2.1.0-beta-20110802 install with IE9 and FF5 - have also disabled all standard installed modules apart from Pages.

Hmm... yeah, there's some fuzzy logic going on in that module page. I'll take a look at it tonight and get back to you tomorrow.

So I've been looking it over and I can't quite reproduce your problem, but I did notice a couple of minor problems which are now fixed locally and will be in the next version.

Could you send me the content that you're entering into the page, so I can test it out myself? Also, please specify exactly how to reproduce the problem (e.g. when first adding the page and when updating it whether you have WYSIWYG enabled or disabled for the HTML content type).

I did a clean install (different Machine) - and recorded my steps - you can view them here:

Hoped it was my previous cached version that was doing it but still seems to happen. After updaing the modules the Page addition was the only thing I did in FormTools 2.1.0-beta-20110807.

As mentioned previously the first Update - works OK.

Any other changes after that are not recognised - even deleting all of the content and updating causes the page to revert to its first updated state.

Tested this on WampServer 2.1a , Windows Vista and FF3.6 and IE9 for testing

Oh man, that has to be the clearest explanation of a bug ever. I really must get my hands on a copy of Adobe Captivate.

I just fixed it locally and I'll release an update in a few minutes.

Great stuff. Installd the upgrade. I have edited existing pages and added new pages.

They are all behaving as expected- Good fix. Will be doing a lot more with Pages and will report any issues but so far it's a "FIXED" from me.
