if i install the new vers formtools 2 (as a fresh installation) can i import the old 1.5.4 database into the new database or will there be a conflict? (tables and such)

Hi John,

Thanks for the post!

No, there will be no conflict. What you just need to do is specify a different database prefix for your Form Tools 2 installation. So assuming that the prefix for Form Tools 1 was "ft_", you could maybe use "ft2_". That will ensure that the two scripts will run entirely independently and not confuse one another.
