Using clickable Hyperlinks in Form Submissions

Hi Ben,

Is it possible to make hyperlinks clickable within Form Submission results / a column within a View?

For example we have created a form which contains all the required external links relevant to that client. They have a View which does not allow the creation, deletion or editing of the data - they are purely for 'read-only' purposes.

The only way I have managed to achieve this is to create the links as an Option List, then create a column in the View which displays the selected result... So the Value could be "Yellow Pages" and the display text is "<a href="www.yellowpages.com">Yellow Pages</a>".

If we use a standard text box with this Hyperlink code within, the HTML tags are visable in the Submission columns! The Options List method does solve the problem but as you can image it is very long-winded.

Man, you ask all the hard questions.

Yes, it is - but you'd need the Custom Fields module. That lets you customize how the database field content gets output on the different pages (Edit Submission, Submission Listings, emails, export manager etc).

Okay, clearly I need to complete & release that sucker.

For now, I'm afraid you're stuck with your Option List solution...

Yup mine are always a challenge ;-)

I've got your first Beta release of the Custom Fields module installed already. It looks very powerful, just not sure how to make them clickable hyperlinks! I'll have a play around.
