Nothing was actually changing the CSS - it's just that by omitting the id="" attribute, the CSS rules you defined aren't applied to the form, so it ends up looking different. That's pretty much it! Since Form Tools can't know all the form attributes each user wants to use, it just generates the simplest HTML that it needs which can then be edited.
