Assuming the data got sent on step 5, yes, that should be fine. Try deleting the folder and logging in.

My best guess was that maybe something got corrupted when uploading the files to your webserver. So if you have any problems (ANY!) I'd do a totally fresh installation. If you get the same error again, please let me know & we'll go from there.
