Are you able to check multiple DB fields (i.e. multiple lines in the $criteria) to determine if a record is unique?

$criteria = array(
"attendee_email" => $_POST["attendee_email"],
"attendee_last_name" => $_POST["attendee_last_name"],
"attendee_zip" => $_POST["attendee_zip"],
"staus" => "Active"
);
