First time FT user. I had a hell of a time getting FT to install. I got stuck at Step4 and at Step6. At Step4 I changed from PHP4 to PHP5. I had to set globals off to get past Step6. After that FT started working, but I could not login. I started from scratch, dropped all the tables, FTP'ed a new clean version of FT and I went through the install without issues. For basic testing and getting to know the system I created 2 clients and some forms. I'm using the POST method to keep it simple. The forms are working and everything looked like it would work out as a solution.

Today is my second day of use and I am completely locked out. My admin account info fails to log me in. The "forgot my password" option is working and sends me the correct account info, but it will not allow me to access the admin account. The forms are still working as well.

I can login as a client, but this is useless without admin support.

Here is the error reply I get when trying to login as the admin:
"No user account ID was found in sessions. Please log in again below."

The only browser that will allow me to access any account is Firefox on the Mac.

How can I resolve this login issue?

Hi dnice,

The only difference between logging in as a client and as an administrator is the content that's loaded in sessions. On a couple of servers I've found that they limited the maximum amount of information that can be stored there - and that prevents the script from working properly, and booting the user out like this. It's a rare case, but it may be what's happening to you.

But hopefully it's an easy fix. Add the following line to your /global/config.php file:

$g_session_type = "database"; 


That bypasses the default PHP sessions and stores session information in the database instead. That may circumvent the problem.
