new user - Form Builder questions

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, I submitted my questions through the documentation add-on but can't find the post here.

I'm totally new to Form Builder and Form Tools, and have some questions.
1) Dropdown lists:
a) How do you specify the contents of dropdown lists? I selected a dropdown list type but see no way to give it a list of values.
b) How do you specify what actually gets stored in the DB? For example, how would I make it display yes or no on the form, but save 1 or 0 in the DB?
2) How do you hook up a form to an existing db table for editing existing records?
3) How do you hook up a new form to Form Tools so new records get submitted to the DB? Or is that happening already with the Publish button?

All of your questions are more or less answered in the documentation. I recommend that you study it first, and then come back with any further questions.
