I'm new! Form is submitting and creating record, but email is not sending.

I'm testing out version 2.2.6. I have it set up on a test site and have it set up to use an external form, by direct post.

Two things:
First: It is creating a record, but I also have it set up to send an email to me whenever a new submission is made. This is not happening!
Second: the url I specified in as the redirect for the thank you page is appearing within the form page instead its own page.

What I am I missing? Thanks for any help!

Are you using the default FT email option or the SwiftMailer Module?

In your external form, are you adding the redirect URL like this?
<input type="hidden" name="form_tools_redirect_url" value="http://mysite.com/otherpage.php" />

I fixed this problem previously, but now I reinstalled on the main directory and am having the same problem and can't remember what fixed it. I am using the default FT email option.

I figured it out again. It works if you choose ONE method text or HTML, but not both.

When you say you have to choose only one method either "text" or "HTML", where exacly?

I have the same issue here. I set it up. It was working like a charm. I did not make any changes -as long as I remember- and it stopped sending email.
