#1
Sad
Cant install formtools 2 to godaddy i get a blank white screen in the browser.

Yes i tried permissions on both the server and ftp program (no luck)

I gave up and tried FT 1.5.1 and it shows up but gives me a error:

PHP & Mysql FAIL

I installed this on hostmonster servers with no problem WTH is up with godaddy? What do I need to do step by step to run this 2.0 on godaddy?????????

(Nevermind) I figured it out. Found out if your godaddy server is not upgraded to IIS7
you will have a blank white page on installation or fail messages. I upgraded in the IIS control panel from IIS6 to IIS7.

Hi Stech,

I'm going to be perfectly straight: godaddy's hosting is AWFUL. You won't catch me blaming other people's scripts / services much, but in this case I'll make an exception! For registering domains they're fantastic, but their PHP hosting is just appalling - I've encounter problem after problem after problem on their systems with really, really basic things like sessions, mail(), PHP and MySQL versions. You name it.

No chance you could try another hosting provider? Dreamhost is pretty good...

Hi Ben,

I said screw it! I could not get most of any scripting running right on that windows server. I convinced the client to switch to a linux server. And yeah I agree I have used formtools for a while and never really had problems until using godaddy or a windows server.

hopefully this helps by switching to linux but the client is still with godaddy. The account is not up till 2010 Aug, but I will push to a new host after then.
