I'm new to Form Tools but so far this seems to be a great tool. But I can't figure something out.
The way that I'll be using it is for my staff to create user accounts. I'd like to have a "Welcome" email sent to someone when their account is first setup. I had planned to use the "on submission" trigger to send this email. And I need to send a different email if their information is updated, so I planned to use the "on edit" trigger for that email.
The problem comes because my staff (having client accounts) will be adding new users through the Form Tools interface, not using the actual form. When they click "Add", the new record is created immediately, without user data. Then after the information is filled in, you click "Update" to save the data.
It looks like to me that the "on submission" trigger will never happen for accounts that are created using the "Add" feature. Am I thinking correctly? If so, is there another way to make this work? Would it be possible to "reprogram" the Add button so that it takes me to the actual form? Then we could fill in the information and submit it in the usual fashion.
I might even be able to add a couple links to the Thank You page to Submit another user, or to return to the regular client interface.
I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!
Brad
