Input limited to 20 characters

Despite changing the settings in Form Tools to give me <=256 characters on some of my input fields, they still seem to be limited to 20 characters.

This seems to be the same problem that was reported here:

Anyone got any views on why this happens - I'm just about to re-add the form to see if that cures it.


+++Update+++ Haven't re-added the form yet, but have added another similar complex form, edited some of the field settings and that is working perfectly!

Excellent! And just so you know: updating the database column size won't change any submissions that have been inputted up to that point, so you won't see any change - only on new submissions made after that point.

Hi Ben,

I'm not seeing that. I've tried subsequent submissions with the first form and over 20 characters is getting cutoff e.g. email and phone number.

As I say, a second, similar form works perfectly. There does seem to be some 'confusion' as if the field length settings aren't carrying through.

I will try deleting the form and doing a resubmission.

Seems a shame to have to delete the whole form... but I must say, I'm rather out of ideas. The only thing that should restrict the input length is the database field size.
