textarea field is stripped from wysiwyg karakters
#1
Hi,
I added the WYSIWYG function in a form:
<script type="text/javascript"
src="../formtools/global/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">

tinyMCE.init({
mode : "textareas",
theme : "advanced",
theme_advanced_buttons1 : "bold,italic,underline,strikethrough,|,justifyleft,justifycenter,justifyright,justifyfull,|,bullist,numlist,|,link,unlink,emotions",
theme_advanced_buttons2 : "",
theme_advanced_buttons3 : "",
theme_advanced_buttons4 : "",
theme_advanced_toolbar_location: "top",
theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left",
theme_advanced_path_location : "bottom",
theme_advanced_resizing : true

}); </script>

The problem is that the textarea field is saved without the HTML characters (like: <b> etc.). If I add them using the WYSIWYG function they somehow seem to be stripped from the data. Altough everything does look like it functions well on screen.
If I add the karakters f.i. <b> manually, they are saved.

I hope someone knows what's going wrong here

Hey Bart,

I know we emailed about this, but just to make a note of the solution for others: markup is *always* stripped out of form submissions by default, to prevent potential cross-site scripting attacks. To disable this feature, just go to your Edit Form > Main tab and change the "Strip tags in form submissions" setting to "no".
