iphone: attach photo

Thanks for the great program!

I have created a form in which people fill in data and attach images, as part of an online graffiti reporting system. Is there any way to create a method for iphone users to submit a photo from their phone? That would be very helpful!

Hi Alex,

Very interesting! But I really don't know - I'm rather behind on the whole mobile thing. I only just got a cellphone this week (I know, I live in the 1990's ).

What happens when you click on a file upload field in a web form within an iPhone? Doesn't that open a file open dialog? If so, this may be a limitation with the iPhone itself... I'm not sure how it handles management of images.

Sorry. Not much help. Any iPhone users out there who have an idea?

The dialog box is just grayed out so you cant even click it. I know there are iphone applications that allow you to open and send images stored on the iphone, as well as the ability to email photos.. but just never seen a website that allows you to send photos using a file upload button.

Sounds like its an iphone limitation. Hopefully there will be a solution some day, because I think it would be super useful!

Absolutely, there are particular applications that are able to email photos. The iPhone has already its features of the attach photos and other abilities. I believe there are ways to make it possible to submit and forward photos from their iPhones.
