Like everyone else says, Formtools is AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing this invaluable tool.
Here is my suggestion. I am not sure this possible or not, but is there a way to print the html email template without the headers? I have a form where people can apply for a position online. It is great having the tabs in formtools to display the submissions. However, I would like to simply print each job application as a pdf file. Is there a way to do this based on the html template? Or do you have any suggestions on how I could go about doing this?
Thanks
Wow - I am doing this right now - for a different application.
First make sure xml formats are enabled in the Export Manager module - xml generated .
I export as xml - (the file is generated on the server) I then download via ftp.
You need adobe acrobat pro I think... go to live cycle designer and then File>New Data Connection
get data from sample xml data
then just start dragging form data over from the column on the left to the empty document you just opened (I forgot that part).
Save it as a pdf and now you have a pdf form that corresponds with the xml output in form tools. Go to Acrobat Pro and Open it up.
Then go to Forms>Manage Form Data> Import Data> XML file
If you want to test just go fill out your form in form tools- then export the xml- download it and then import that data with Acrobat
Whew
