SSL and reCaptcha
#1
Question
I can't seem to use the reCaptcha on my form without Internet Explorer throwing up a warning saying "some items on this page are not secure".

See this page:
https://gwwi.org/appBACK.php

I've tried making the path to the api a secure address but it didn't work:
require_once("https://my_site.org/formtools/global/api/api.php");

Anyone know how to fix that?

Terry

Found an answer to my own question inside recaptchalip.php! Smile
function recaptcha_get_html ($pubkey, $error = null, $use_ssl = true)

Thanks for such a great script.

Hey Terry,

Thanks for posting the fix!

I think I'll log this as a bug. There's no reason the ft_api_display_captcha() couldn't detect for https and call recaptcha_get_html() with SSL.

Doing the above also sorts out the issue with SSL but now the recaptcha does not display.

Any ideas about why this happens would be great.

Probably far too late to help this user but the last problem noted is because Google have changed the recaptcha secure server URL, and this needs to be updated in /global/api/recaptchalib.php

change line 39 from ...

define("RECAPTCHA_API_SECURE_SERVER", "https://api-secure.recaptcha.net");

to ...

define("RECAPTCHA_API_SECURE_SERVER", "https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api");

and all should be well.

SSL and reCaptcha happen when your browser takes malware cookies. You just need to clear the browser data before use best essay service and then you will not face this kind of problem on your browser.
