When I unknowingly upgraded to 2.2.7 and didn't realize that it was broken, there were only two files that were updated with the upgrade from 2.2.6 to 2.2.7. After realizing that 2.2.7 was broken, I simply downloaded a 2.2.6 zip file and replaced the two files I had updated for 2.2.7. This reverted the install back to 2.2.6 and the radio button, checkbox problems were fixed.
Those two files were:
./global/library.php
./global/code/field_types.php
So if you can grab these two files from a 2.2.6 installation or download, and use them to replace the files in your 2.2.7 install, you should be fine. At least it worked for me.
I really wish they would remove any links or sources to the broken 2.2.7 files so people don't unknowingly upgrade to something that's broken.
