I totally agree. When I was updating the script I found a few things really unclear. What it *should* do is display every last character in the content to translate, so if it contained HTML it would show HTML - including links, like you mentioned. It's very unclear right now.
What I think I'll do is simply output the content to translate in a textarea instead - or possible encode the whole thing so you'd see all characters properly. That would eliminate all the problems you noticed.
Timeline-wise... I'll need a week, at least! I have to finish off the new demo and catch up with support.
But I'll post back when it's fixed.
