I am attempting to upgrade from 2.04 to 2.1.1
When I click on the "Update" button, I keep getting the following message on the page in the new tab:
"This page cannot be called directly. You must click the "Update" link in the top bar of your Form Tools installation."
I've tried this in a few different browsers with the same result. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Dogen,
Very strange. That means that the page isn't receiving a POST request: it's just redirecting you to the upgrade page but not sending along any details about your installation (i.e. what you have installed).
It sounds like that's a problem with your installation. Did you modify any of the code at all?

Hi Ben,
No - I don't think we've made any code modifications.

Can we install 2.1.1 over 2.0.4 without losing settings?

Hi Dogen,
Sorry for the wait! I've been trying to wrap up a module, which has taken muuuuuch longer than anticipated!
Yes, you could do that. Just download the 2.1.2 zipfile, unzip it and upload the entire contents to your site, overwriting all files. However, *do* make a backup of the database and files first - just in case.
The one hitch to this is that you'll need to manually check the compatibility of all your modules and themes. It's not tricky, but you'll need to go through them one by one - and be sure to upgrade all of them that need it, otherwise you'll get some incompatibilities.
Once you're all settled with 2.1.2, would you mind trying the "Update" button again? If it still fails, then there's something fishy going on on your server that's preventing the POST request getting sent.
All the best -
Ben

Everything worked perfectly. Even the "Update" button now works correctly.
Thanks again Ben!

The upgrade Problem occurred when you are not having updated versions of the applications or website you are using. I go through this problem but after some time it resolved. For getting the best services of website hosting service in Karachi and I hope this problem will be resolved. It usually happened when on Backend the updates are going through but it happens for a short period.
